Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment is a research centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), chaired by Nicholas Stern, author of the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change. Its research looks at the economics of climate change, and aims to inform policy and academic debate.

The Grantham Research Institute seeks to:

• Increase knowledge and understanding by performing world-class research on climate change and the environment;
• Promote better informed decision-making about climate change and the environment by engaging with a range of key audiences around the world; and
• Educate and train new generations of researchers through its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Bob Ward

Bob Ward is the policy and communications director at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and at the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) in Leeds. Previously, he has worked at Risk Management Solutions as Director of Public Policy and prior to that, he led the media relations team at the Royal Society. He has also worked as a freelance science writer and journalist. Bob is a member of the executive committee of the Association of British Science Writers, the World Conference of Science Journalists 2009 and a member of the board of the UK’s Science Media Centre. He is also a Fellow of the Geological Society.
