Resilient Housing Conference November 3
Partner Event to be held on 04 November 2016
This one-day conference from The Concrete Centre and the Modern Masonry Alliance will provide the latest guidance, technical expertise and explain practical developments that will influence the design and delivery of long-lasting and high performance homes.
The conference will provide delegates with:
- Updates on the latest initiatives to potentially influence future new build housing, including the Select Committee Inquiry into the Quality of New Build Housing; the Bonfield Review on Flood Resilience; and latest proposals on defining and measuring overheating.
- Practical guidance on design considerations that impact the resilience of our housing: fire performance, flood resilience, noise, thermal comfort and thermal bridging, health and wellbeing.
- An understanding of concrete and masonry solutions for housing and how these local materials deliver low maintenance, high performance, resilient homes.
- A perspective of UK housing, where we have been, a review of exemplar projects and insights into how resilience and our changing demographic will impact on current and future housing needs.
