Screening of ‘Wind of Change’, a film about climate and health

Partner Event to be held on 31 October 2014
Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole St, London W1G 0AE

On 31 October the Royal Society of Medicine screened this award-winning documentary that follows Kisilu, a Kenyan farmer and father of seven children, and his family living on the front line of climate change. For generations they have been self-reliant, but now they are struggling heavily with drought and storms. Through observational footage and Kisilu’s own video diary, the film built a warm and sensitive portrait of a family struggling but still refusing to give up. We were invited into their life and experience together with them their fight, dreams and moments of joy.

Filmmaker Julia Dahr and climate and health advocate Isobel Braithwaite joined the panel following the screening for a Q&A session. This film was hosted by the Global Health Film initiative.
